ABSTRACT
FINANCE deals with money matters and their management. It may be Public or Private—Public when it has to do with the finance of Government, and Private when it refers to that of individuals or groups of persons other than Government. Public and Private Finance have important effects upon each other, but are easily distinguished. What we pay to Government, for example, belongs to Public Finance. What we do with the rest of our money is a question of Private Finance.
