ABSTRACT
In this chapter we shall examine some important applications of cognitive science. The first is in the sphere of mental illness and its treatment, the second in education, and the third in human-machine interaction. Naturally these are not the sole applications, but they are the ones in which most progress has been made, as well as being of interest to three sectors of vital importance to society.
