ABSTRACT
Learning is a continuous journey and children take personal paths based on their own individual interests, experiences and the curriculum on offer. The activities have been designed to be very 'hands on' and provides starting points to encourage and promote children's mathematical, scientific, creative, linguistic and personal and social areas of learning. The activities have been tried and tested with young children as well as older children working at the relevant level. Child-centred learning is an approach to education that places the children and their needs at the centre. This ensures that learning is an active, dynamic process in which connections between different facts, ideas and processes are constantly being made and developed. A creative environment allows all children to learn and discover as they set their own challenges and use all their senses. They will have opportunities to use flexible play materials and to use play materials flexibly.
