ABSTRACT
This chapter examines ethics management and governance at the national level in the United States.1 We begin with a look at the views of the Founding Fathers and map the evolution of efforts to encourage ethical behavior and discourage wrongdoing. This evolutionary history is followed by an overview of U.S. ethics laws and institutions, concluding with a look at judicial ethics.
