ABSTRACT
Chapter 2 explores macro and micro sociological theories on marriage and the family. The chapter further examines research design, research process, and research methods used to collect data and conduct research on marriage and the family. Taking a diversity and global approach, the chapter also applies sociological theory and explanatory research to the analysis of ethnic social mobility and refugee families.
