Introduction and methodology

The Introduction sets the book in the context of theories of state crime and describes the fieldwork on which it is based. The choice of six countries (Colombia, Tunisia, Kenya, Turkey, Myanmar and Papua New Guinea) is discussed. The chapter explains how the authors and their co-workers interviewed respondents, transcribed and analysed the interviews. Finally the introduction outlines the argument of the substantive chapters of the book.
