ABSTRACT
Introduction The clinical assessment in sexology consists of two parts. The aim of the first is to identify the presence of sexual disorders, estimate their severity, determine their causes and discover their consequences. The second aims to highlight the sexual assets and strengths of the patients as well as to determine their personal and relational erotic potential. Obtaining this information is critical in order to develop suitable and effective treatments. It is known that assessment is an essential step in all health sectors. However, it proves to be crucial in sexology where the same symptoms could be caused by a wide variety of biological, sexological, psychological and relational factors.
