ABSTRACT

The purpose of the requirements is to ensure that the requirements for products and services are established before work on their design, procurement, production or delivery commences. Many customer requirements will go beyond end product or service requirements. Almost all products and services are governed by legal requirements that constrain or prohibit certain inherent characteristics of a product or service or the practices employed in their production and or delivery. In addition to the requirements specified by the customer or in the design brief and the regulations that apply, requirements may be imposed by the organization's policies that impinge on the particular products or services that are to be supplied. The organization's requirements should be defined in technical manuals that are used by designers, production and distribution staff. Once development of a product or service is underway, the marketing team often wants to generate interest to attract advanced orders.
