ABSTRACT

Requirements for release, delivery and post-delivery of products and services have hitherto been less prominent in the standard. As product and services requirements may include characteristics that are achieved by design, production, installation or service delivery, a high-level verification matrix is needed to provide traceability from requirement to the means of verification. Evidence of conformity is the information recorded during product verification that shows the product to have exhibited the characteristics required. Delivery is an activity that serves the shipment or transmission of product to the customer and is one part of the distribution process. The process of moving goods from producer to customer is an important process in the quality management system (QMS). A distribution process needs to be designed which responds to customer demand and distributes products from storage locations to customers in a way that ensures they arrive in good condition. Post-delivery performance is often the principal reason why customers remain loyal or choose a competitor.
