ABSTRACT

The gale and rain with it must have been from the S. west I suspect, and when examining the glazing of chancel as well as nave, note how wide apart the saddle bars are, and the width of the lead cames2 – also the kind of grooves for glazing in the stonework – and the size of the glass quarries. I found the most washed drift sand on the main roadside nearly opposite that pleasant farm house on the way back to Green Bridge, on the right hand.
