ABSTRACT

The factor considered to be after land in production is labour. Labour has been defined as a moral conscious act. Man faces the material world. Labour and capital have been put into it, and someone has had to accumulate that capital and pay for the labour. A tenant comes along and wants a farm, and the rent he pays is calculated on not only the pure economic rent, but also the value that has been put into it. All these people who, by putting their brains and their physical powers together, produce this great result, are the labour force connected with farming. If any one group claims that all that comes from this effort belongs to it, then you immediately break up that great work of co-operation which is the secret of the enormous strides that the human race has made during the past century or two.
