ABSTRACT
Chapter 4 examines the topic of loyalty in the profession of engineering as specified in the NSPE’s fourth Fundamental Canon: “Act for each employer or client as faithful agents or trustees.” This chapter includes readings and discussion of moral issues relating to faithfulness, fiduciary obligations, divided loyalty, predatory loyalty, whistleblowing, and genuine loyalty.
