ABSTRACT

This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the key concepts discussed in the preceeding chapters of this book. The book examines and explains how the ubiquitous Muslim or Arab customary justice practice of Sulha works within the Arab population of northern Israel. Ongoing research and analysis of the place of Sulha within these continuing changes is, therefore, necessary and useful, and it is the hope of the author that qualified local and international scholars will continue to conduct such research to enrich our understanding of Muslim or Arab dispute resolution practices. To that end, and because of the significant inter-relations between clans and the Sulha process, it is reasonable to assume that if and when the place of the clan changes significantly within northern Israel's Arab community, so will the place of Sulha change accordingly.
