ABSTRACT

Safety professionals always seem to perceive themselves as being under resourced. Most people think that time management is obvious', yet it cannot be that obvious. This chapter explores a number of time management tools that will help people to do all this and can enable people to create time so that they become really effective in their role and drive safety performance and culture forward the most. Time efficiency shows that for safety professionals there are six tools and approaches to managing our time that enable us to exceed your objectives, drive us to think more holistically and enable us to achieve a good worklife balance. Developing service level agreements (SLAs) and working out the supply and demand allows you to quantify the work you do. Time management is a vital element of any role. Irrespective of the state of the economy, safety professionals feel as though they need more time, people and resources.
