ABSTRACT

Safety professionals always seem to perceive themselves as being under resourced. Whether this is a perception or a reality is immaterial, what is important is that you deal with things in the most effective way, which includes how much time you focus on things. Most people think that time management is ‘obvious’, yet it cannot be that obvious. Stop and have a look around you. The chances are there will be people making really bad use of their time – perhaps they are spending too much time on the wrong things, not enough time on the things that will make a real difference, or never getting anything done because their ‘to do’ list just keeps getting bigger.
