ABSTRACT
At the present time we raise at home about 5,500,000 cwts. a year of mutton and lamb and import about 4,500,000 cwts. a year. The oversea supply is gaining on the home supply with the growth of the needs of our population. Our imported supplies of fresh mutton (including refrigerated) in 1908 were as follows:
