ABSTRACT

This chapter visualizes the procedures and set up the classroom in the best manner for things. Every day effective teachers reflect on how things went in their classroom. There are two levels to consider, making a change in things. One is call tweaking and the other is the reset button. A tweak is when change the behavior, but do not need to inform/announce to the students that anything is changing. Instead tweak the behavior in order to prevent misbehavior that was occurring previously. One benefit of tweaking is that you can do this an unlimited number of times during a school year and even over the course of your career. Another adjustment that should be made is around late and make-up work, so the teacher creates clear procedures for students who miss school or must turn in late work, that do not interrupt the beginning of the class time.
