ABSTRACT
We have no examples of the music played on the gut-strung harp of the Lowlands, which are specifically linked with the instrument. In many ways this is not surprising. Apart from some dance music, only a handful of purely instrumental pieces survive in any medieval musical source up to the early 15th century.
