ABSTRACT

This chapter explores how to express one's tentative travel plan, talks about one's scheduled plan or decision, and explores how to say or in Korean. The chapter is structured around learning points, one or two model dialogues, words and expressions, grammar points, and exercises. It also presents a list of useful expressions that are frequently used to indicate means of transportation. The model dialogues demonstrate authentic communicative exchanges among the characters featured in Colloquial Korean. Each dialogue is contextualized with a setting description and utilizes key functions and grammar points. The grammar points are provided in a systematic and manageable way to help readers to understand the structure of Korean. In the construction of grammar points, two main objectives were considered: providing grammar patterns that are useful or necessary to perform key functions introduced in the chapter, and sequencing grammar points as much as possible according to frequency of use and level of difficulty.
