ABSTRACT

This chapter describes weather in Korean language. It discusses the use of irregular words and the transformation of adjectives to adverbs with a function equivalent to English. The chapter explains the intimate speech style in Korean to talk to a person whom the speaker feels close to or intimate with. It focuses on the speech style that observes from an adult talking to his/her close friend of a similar or younger age, an adult talking to a child, or a child talking to another child. This chapter talks about the exercises to check the comprehension of the vocabulary, grammar points, and functions exercise questions a review of unit content and an application of acquired knowledge where the activities extend from the model dialogue. It deals with the dialogue that demonstrates the authentic communicative exchanges among the characters featured in Colloquial Korean. It explains the dialogue that is contextualized with a setting description and utilizes key functions and grammar points.
