ABSTRACT

This chapter talks about one's family, and explains the Kinship terms in Korean. These terms are rich and intricate and used to address an older family member or relative, and to refer to non-family members. The chapter discusses the exercises to check people's comprehension of the vocabulary, grammar points and functions are a review of unit content and an application of acquired knowledge. These activities extend what the people practiced from the model dialogue. Exercise items include both structural drills and communicative tasks that encourage the learners to produce more creative answers. The chapter deals with the structural drills that provide the guided questions and reinforce the functions, grammar points and the communicative tasks. It focuses on the cultural point that presents up-to-date cultural information relevant to the unit content and useful tips for visitors in the Republic of Korea.
