It also provides the information of avoir and il y a, the gender of nouns, and using un/une and le/la• numbers 60-1000for the French learners. The chapter discusses two different dialogues those are: Anne comes down from her room to the reception desk and the following morning Anne asks the Receptionist for facilities available in the town. These French dialogues are immediately followed by their translation into English. Their main function is to introduce the key points of the chapter, in context, and in a way that the French would use them. They are also essential for developing learner's listening and speaking skills. Grammatical terms and explanations have been simplified and kept to a minimum so that learner can understand the mechanisms underpinning structures and use them successfully and confidently.
