ABSTRACT

This chapter explains the way of 'talking about things which one need using du, del' de la in French. It also explains the French learner how to ask for where the things are, expressing quantities of need, and paying method for what they buy' under Colloquial French study material. Colloquial French covers the basic structures and the vocabulary of everyday situations which people are likely to encounter, whether on holiday or on business in France and in other French-speaking countries. Its emphasis is on spoken French and its primary aim is to develop people's communication skills. Exercises given here follow the language points and provide learners with lots of practice in the new structures they are learning. The chapter includes some cultural points about France. It also includes some short texts covering topics contains some of the language learned and are there to provides with further examples of the language, as well as to start developing learner's reading skills.
