Counselling Psychology book
What is a counselling psychologist and how does one become one? What distinguishes counselling psychologists from related professionals and where and how do they work? These are some of the questions explored in this chapter. A central issue is the client-practitioner relationship which is explored, by means of a case study, in relation to different theoretical orientations to counselling and the skills and personality of the counselling psychologist. The chapter concludes by considering possible future developments within this very popular and rapidly expanding profession.
