ABSTRACT
I worked for Hostels for three years during the development of the first Jummula Dubbins Hostel. During that time Joe McGinness and Evelyn Scott were concerned about the lack of social benefits for Torres Strait Islanders, similar to the benefits received by Indigenous people on the mainland.
