ABSTRACT

The modification processes seen in previous chapters (such as distortion and reverberation) have no analysis component within them. Those processes take an input, apply a function, and produce an output from it. They will apply the function in the same way whatever the nature of the input signal. The configuration of those modifiers depends on the analysis performed by the user. Figure 11.1 shows a control arrangement where the user changes the parameters of a modifier to achieve the required result.
