ABSTRACT

With the source images blended, we can now move on to final editing as necessary, or desired, to come up with our complete vision. At a minimum, I would suggest that Creative Sharpening should be applied and depending on the final use of the image, then resizing and Output Sharpening should also be done. What else you do is up to you. I am going to take you through the final editing of some of the sample images we worked with earlier in the book so you can get a sense of a start to finish workflow. In this chapter we will look at editing using traditional methods, then we will examine editing based on masks: First the simple masks we created in Chapter 6 then the luminance masks we used for blending in Chapter 7. Luminance masks are very powerful and useful tools and can help in fine-tuning and targeting adjustments to just certain areas of an image.
