ABSTRACT

Multiple Perspectives in Persistent Bullying: Capturing and listening to young people’s voices has focused on the lived experiences of victims, bully/victims, a desister, bystanders, a bully and a persistent bully. In essence, it has exposed the significant impact of bullying on young lives. These case studies have also highlighted the complex interplay between belonging, relationships, power, family and environmental factors. For some, the turning points and chain reactions were significant in contributing to positive outcomes, while for others, a spiral of negative chain reactions occurred, resulting in persistent bullying or victimization. In this final chapter, we consider educational approaches to addressing this significant phenomenon.
