ABSTRACT
Why should we expect hamadryas females to have reproductive strategies of their own? Why should the interests of hamadryas females differ from those of hamadryas males? To answer these questions, we must first look at the differences between male and female reproductive strategies in animals as a whole and why they should—and often do—differ.
