ABSTRACT

ADVERTISING AS PERSUASION in 1937, Disney opened the doors to an advertising revolution when it became the first studio to sell items to promote a movie (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs). s ince then, advertising has rapidly become the most pervasive form of persuasion in American culture. An advertising campaign is a paid form of impersonal communication, concerned with selling specific products, services, brands, images, and lifestyles to the public, and the typical American consumer is no stranger to its influence.
