ABSTRACT
Deciding Whether to Design a Program Following a Referral Behavioral problems have a variety of causes, come in a variety of forms and types, and differ widely in degree of complexity and severity. The fact that a problem has been referred is not always a sufficient reason for proceeding with program design and implementation. To decide whether and where to begin, answering the following questions during the screening or intake phase of behavioral assessment is helpful (see Chapter 20).
