Prediction in politics is always hazardous, and international politics is noexception. What role will international organizations play in the gover-nance of twenty-first-century international affairs? Will new international organizations be created or will existing organizations be significantly transformed? What are the prospects for international peace and cooperation? How will international organizations respond to pressing global problems? International relations have multiple futures with multiple interpretations.
