ABSTRACT

We all know someone who seems odd, bi-zarre; who acts in a totally inappropriate fashion. A stroll down many streets in the nation’s larger cities will reveal men and women who look disheveled and mutter incomprehensible phrases to no one in particular. Some people are so fearful of lurking, unmentionable forces that they are literally incapable of walking out of their front door. Others are unable to hold a conversation that anyone else would regard as intelligible. Some people are convinced that their dentist has implanted an electronic receiver in a filling in their teeth that is sending bizarre messages into their brain. Some people wear a perpetual, peculiar smile, and seem to exist in “their own little world.”
