ABSTRACT
Before Beginning this chapter, let’s review the areas of visual perception we’ve explored. First, we looked at the biological underpinnings of vision. Next, we examined some basic visual processes, such as edge detection and lightness perception. We then looked at more complex visual processes, such as how people organize edges into shapes and how patterns emerge in looking at the world.
