ABSTRACT

Students do better when they participate in physical activities outside of school, but imagine the improvement they could experience if it were ingrained into the school day as well. The good news is that you can incorporate physical activity and play into your own classroom. The key to remember is that physical activity and play can indeed be incorporated throughout the class to reduce stress, increase focus and strength, improve teamwork, and ultimately improve student achievement. The exercises people have prescribed require the mind and body to work in unison for maximum benefits. And, in the case of students, the benefits include improved focus and achievement as well. The author developed a program that focused on many of the core and balance exercises. Every child deserves the opportunity to develop physically and mentally to maximize their potential in school and life.
