Among the most prominent features in contemporary children’s books may
be noted such as irony, parody, literary allusions, direct quotations or indi
rect references to previous texts-everything which in recent years has been
included in the notion of intertextuality, or, if we prefer the original term of
Mikhail Bakhtin, dialogics.
