ABSTRACT
In this chapter the effect of disablement in a child on income is examined by comparing the incomes of this sample of families with disabled children with those of the families in the FES control. This comparative material is illustrated by information obtained in interviews with the parents of disabled children themselves. We begin by comparing the two groups' gross incomes and the source of their incomes. 1
