The history of metal model building at Wharton goes back to the early 1960’s and covers a range of non-ferrous metals from A (aluminum) to Z (zinc). 1 Models have been built and exercised for a broad variety of purposes including:
Forecasting
Stockpile management
Price stabilization and buffer stock policy, and
Studies of world-wide commodity inflation.
