ABSTRACT
Introduction In the last chapter, we examined simple linear regression models to measure the relationship between a dependent variable and a single independent variable. In this chapter, our analysis is expanded to the study of multivariate regression and the correlation of two or more independent variables on the dependent variable. We first present multiple regression by intuitively developing and explaining the use of the multiple regression equation. Then, we will illustrate how these (complex) calculations are made using POLYSTAT. We conclude by reviewing the interpretation of multiple regression results and multiple correlation between independent variables and a deK pendent variable.
