Factors That Influence the Relationship Between Collective Identity and Memory

The relationship between collective memory and identity and the factors that influence this relationship have been theorized and researched across the social sciences. The relationship between collective memory and identity as an iterative social process is discussed as a process of identity construction at times and memory construction at other times. In either case, it is explored and described as a dynamic, iterative process and is influenced by power, space, and traditions.
