ABSTRACT
As we indicated previously, if the substratum of a body were devoid of that material form which has length, width, and depth, it would either be a being for which one could indicate the place it occupied (i.e. where it extended), or it would be an intelligent kind of (‘aqlī) being for which such an indication could not be made.
