The reason many teachers seek to use technology in their classrooms is because it is engaging to their students. The SAMR model of technology integration helps teachers focus on using technology to significantly redesign tasks and to transform the learning. Share your goals of creating, connecting, solving real-world problems, and promoting your dual language program. It can feel isolating to build, grow, maintain, and celebrate a dual language program. Digital citizenship needs all our attention if the author helps students and parents become digital leaders. Technology empowers students to change the world and make a difference. A few years ago, a grade 5 student felt especially grateful for her ability to speak Spanish, and she set out to share her love of Spanish by teaching others. Putting her tech skills in practice, she created a Google Form for students requesting her to teach, and she shared the link to the form via her teacher's Twitter stream.
