ABSTRACT

One of the most powerful aspects of multimedia is its ability to communicate experiences either to another individual or to the masses. The largest and most common network of all is the Internet. Internet browsers transmit and receive information on the Web via a Uniform Resource Locator (URL) address. One of the more current buzz terms on the Web is “The Cloud” or “Cloud Computing”. Although online data distribution and management is increasingly becoming the primary way to get information from the distributor to the consumer, physical media still has a very important role in delivering media to the consumer masses. With the proliferation of computers, DVD/Blu-ray players, cell phones, video interface hardware and editing software systems, desktop and laptop video has begun to play an increasingly important role in home and corporate multimedia production and content.
