This chapter analysis the biography of the BiodegradaBall idea which illustrates how creativity is socially situated and distributed amongst many contributing actors. This idea biography further emphasizes the temporal aspect of creative idea development, showing that the BiodegradaBall idea evolved over time through a succession of products. The biography of the BiodegradaBall idea was based on the analysis of a comic produced by the Boston ArtScience Prize to describe the structure of their programming to others. As the BiodegradaBall comic notes, to help students kickstart their thinking, the ArtScience Prize additionally offered seed ideas as potential starting points designed to help students find a way into the opportunity space framed by the program's annual scientific theme. This seed idea had an influence on the overall arc of idea development that was illustrated in the BiodegradaBall comic, but so too did the individuals who helped develop this, and many other, seed ideas.
