If, as the analysis to this point suggests, the economic arguments, both quantifiable and nonquantifiable, do not support an early (1986) commitment to the LMFBR, what about the environmental arguments which have been raised in support of the program? Some of these have already been discussed in connection with uranium demand. Those discussed in the chapters that follow have been compiled from a variety of sources. 1
