ABSTRACT
In the previous chapter, we compared the formal organizational structures, socioeconomic contexts and challenges, and significant innovations for each city. These are all important factors in establishing environments that are more and less supportive of innovation. In this chapter, we turn our attention to innovation drivers and supports and significant innovations in each city. We also examine the innovation capacity of these cities, as rated by those both inside and outside their municipal governments.
