As a result, it is important that any assessment of finance needs, including accompanying applications for debt funding, are supported by detailed and accurate financial information from design teams. Equally, the continued issue of detailed cost plans and supporting reports will either give employers the confidence to
proceed with projects, or they could ultimately decide they have insufficient funds to proceed. It is therefore critical for quantity surveyors to develop accurate cost models.
