ABSTRACT
Puppet Pals provides a stage on which characters can be manipulated across a stage scene. The simple use of Puppet Pals is to tell a story through the characters. The application is easy to use across both key stages and all subjects, but is particularly useful for Art. The key skills of imagination and creativity are at the heart of any story making or telling process and this type of app scaffolds the sequencing process and develops children's imagined thinking. A transition animation project could also be set up across infant/junior or junior/secondary school by taking children on a guided tour of the school and classrooms. Silent movies produce an interesting opportunity to record a flashback from the past applying a special effect to give it that aged look.
