ABSTRACT
Similar to other applications that allow the user to become a published author, Book Creator is an engaging and easy way to combine text and photographs to tell stories. Non-fiction books are easy to create in Book Creator. The Our Story app uses a simple format of a filmstrip for children to drag and drop photographs from the camera roll before adding their own text or audio. An audio carousel of tasks is provided for the children to work through in a lesson or over a week with the aim of creating an interactive story or a topic map. AirDrop is a function whereby one can pass files from one Apple device to another Apple device. Creating a museum and asking the children to become the museum curator is a great way for them to demonstrate their knowledge of a topic they have been researching over a number of weeks.
