ABSTRACT
Our Story is a story-making app, similar to Book Creator in that users can create their own stories using pictures, text and audio recordings. Unlike Book Creator, the app also includes the possibility to create video-based stories and colour-coded templates for children's digital research projects. The user interface consists of a gallery of pictures and a filmstrip at the bottom, where pictures can be dragged down and arranged in a sequence. Finished stories can be shared in their multimedia format by choosing the Dropbox feature embedded within the app. key feature of Our Story is that it supports personalisation of multimedia content. The filmstrip feature of Our Story is ideal for customising the process and examples of food chains. Our Story has been designed with young children in mind and the idea that children too can be researchers and learn through experimentation, testing hypotheses and self-discovery.
